Former home of Samuel Goldwyn listed for sale
The former Hollywood Hills area home of iconic film producer Samuel Goldwyn — now know as The Fuller House — has been listed for $4.895 million. Goldwyn, who died in 1974 at 94, is known for such classic films as ”The Best Years of Our Lives” (1946) and “Guys and Dolls” (1955). As part of his long producing career, he also co-founded Paramount Pictures and Goldwyn Pictures, later called MGM. The property last sold in 2005 for $4.9 million.
Originally built in 1916 and designed by Arthur S. Heineman, the current owners have restored the Neoclassic-style property to near-original condition. The estate includes a multi-room master bedroom suite, a screening room, tile fireplaces and maid’s quarters. Included in the home are seven bedrooms, 61/2 bathrooms and 6,488 square feet of living space. The half-acre lot includes walking paths, an outdoor living room, a guesthouse and a swimming pool.
